I am delighted to say that one of my photos has won an award on Viewbug - The Echo Award. The photo in question was one that I took in my Final Major Project of my BA at Gray's School of Art.
https://www.viewbug.com/echoaward It comprises of 5 images, all of 30 seconds long. It was taken at the iconic Bow Fiddle Rock near Portnockie. I can't remember how many trips out to Portnockie were required to capture this image, but I do remember that I clocked up 1000 miles in the course of the project. The image is a slowscape, which is an amalgam of 'slow' and 'landscape'. As well as this, the image is a hyper-reality photo, which means that the image cannot be seen; you only see the image after it has been taken.
When I was in the process of taking this photo, I became really excited after I saw the first few frames. The sea came out that milky, wispy and cloud like effect. It was only once that I had merged all the images together and used various layering methods, that the final image started to take shape.
