I was very excited to be able to go to the recent Tall Ships in Aberdeen.

On the last day, I stood for a number of hours, and photographed the ships as they left. But I didn't just take photos of the Tall Ships. I took pictures of anything which interested me, such as the Coastguards on Jetskis, The Police on a rib, plus all the tugs coming and going. One such photo was of a Supply Vessel, The Vos Glory. This photo was noticed by Vroon Offshore. They contacted me and asked if they could use it on their social media, which I agreed to.

But the story doesn't stop there. A day or so later, Vroon Offshore contacted me again, this time asking me if they could use the image in their magazine, to which of course, I said yes. Rather than ask for payment, and since the Tall Ships was a free event, I asked if they could send a donation to the RNLI, which they agreed to.

Some times you just need to be in the right place at the right time. This is fantastic exposure for me and I am really pleased with my photo being recognized.
