Storm Frank in early 2016 caused a massive amount of flooding and damage throughout Aberdeenshire. I was fortunate to have the River Don on my doorstep, so I could monitor the extent of the flooding. The image below was taken after 10 days of constant rain. First the Dee started to flood, then the Don. The image below was used by Original 106 News.

The fl0oding continued for days and when it was at its highest, there was a constant rumbling noise coming from under the bridge, The water reached a few feet from the top of the bridge arches. It was a very frightening time. Many of the houses further down the river from me were affected by the flooding.
